Preparation

In Nov 2014 I joined an Ontario medical team to Gens de Nantes, Haiti, with a desire to see how our Sask Team could encourage and help them. What I found was a very dedicated Haitian staff, working in a clinic that has been in operation for many years, doing their best to meet the medical needs in their community. What really impacted me was the lack of equipment and supplies which in turn affected the standard of care that could be provided. Things so basic to Canadian medical care, were missing.

Our team has eagerly collected things that will enable the GDN clinic staff to provide more efficient care. We have experienced God's blessing as we received finances and donations of items that will help them. Online we have ordered equipment from India, China, Israel and the US, beside our Canadian connections. On March 5 we will embark on this mission and look forward to supporting these dedicated Haitian staff in providing medical care for this community.

We love to receive comments... it reassures us that we have support from home. Follow our blog and if there are gaps, you know the internet is giving us grief.
